John was born and raised in Leeds and has spent the past 13 years working across the UK in a wide range of HR, staffing, and management roles within the hospitality and events sector. In 2021, he moved home and began studying for a degree in Business and Human Resource Management at Leeds Beckett University, which he pursued while continuing to work full-time on major events.
His experience includes staffing and operations roles at high-profile events such as The Open Golf Championship (2023 & 2024), Salon Privé at Blenheim Palace, and the Cheltenham Gold Cup Festival. Most recently, John completed a maternity cover contract at Ascot Racecourse, where he was responsible for staffing the 2024 Royal Ascot. He then supported seasonal operations at LaplandUK, before coming to join EBar.
John is now leading EBar’s expansion into London and the South of England, working closely with both the sales and operations teams to secure new business and drive revenue growth for clients.
Outside of work, John is an avid traveller – most recently spending a month exploring Japan. He’s also a keen boulderer and enjoys discovering London’s food and music scenes
